City of Trees Orienteering Club Meet at Bear Basin/McCall

Hiking, Running, Walking

Fifteen years ago CTOC hosted a national championship meet at Bear Basin just west of McCall. The map has been updated and is once again a top notch orienteering venue. The map was revised using new technology to portray vegetation and trails more accurately. Please join us to walk, jog, run and/or compete on your choice of three levels of challenge. Our sport course is entirely suitable for people with no orienteering experience. The advanced course has the distance and elevation to challenge a well-conditioned runner. You can start any time between 10 and noon on your choice of a course. The courses close at 2 PM. Compasses to loan and free instruction for novice orienteers will be available. For more information about required map RSVP and what to expect please visit . How to find us Drive 1.85 miles west on Highway 55 from Boydstun Street (McCall bypass) and turn right (north) onto North Club Hill Road. Drive 1/3 mile to the trailhead parking lot. CTOC signs will be placed at North Club Hill Road and the parking lot entrance.
