Japan day is a family-friendly event to experience Japanese culture. It features display booths, food vendors, and Japanese performances, such as traditional Japanese dance, koto (Japanese stringed musical instrument), calligraphy, shishimai (lion dance), shamisen, taiko (traditional Japanese drumming), and martial arts.

Join Winter Wildlands Alliance for the Grassroots Advocacy Conference keynote speaker, James Edward Mills. Mr. Mills is a freelance journalist who specializes in telling stories about outdoor recreation, environmental conservation, acts of charitable giving, and practices of sustainable living. He has worked in the outdoor industry since 1989 as a guide, outfitter, independent sales representative, writer, and photographer. James is the author of the book The Adventure Gap: Changing the Face of the Outdoors and the co-writer/co-producer of the documentary film An American Ascent. And he is an adjunct faculty member of the University of Wisconsin Nelson Institute For Environmental Studies.
