McCall Music Society presents SummerFest 2019, a week-long festival of classical and pops orchestra concerts and an opening night sampler concert, with Artistic Director and Conductor Eric Garcia; the 50-piece SummerFest Orchestra; Tim Fain, violinist; vocalists Rachel Tyler and Matthew Tyler; and flutist Anthony Trionfo. General admission, open seating tickets for all events are on sale at Tickets will be available in person at Mountain Monkey Business and Albertsons-McCall. SUNDAY, JULY 14 at 7:30PM, $25 McCall Community Congregational Church, 901 1st Street Musical Magic SummerFest 2019 opens with a showcase of local and company musicians playing together in various musical collaborations. TUESDAY, JULY 16 at 7:30PM, $30, Mtn Life Church 14180 Highway 55 Fain Plays Beethoven, SummerFest Orchestra with Tim Fain, violin Made possible by The Ludwig Family. Franz von Suppé's charming, playful and immensely popular Poet and Peasant Overture kicks off the SummerFest Orchestra’s opening concert. Also Franz Schubert's Symphony No. 8 “Unfinished” and finally, experience Beethoven’s monumental Violin Concerto in D performed by audience favorite Tim Fain. THURSDAY, JULY 18 at 7:30PM, $30, MtnLife Church 14180 Highway 55, An Evening of Pops with Rachel & Matthew Tyler SummerFest Orchestra with Rachel and Matthew Tyler, vocalists Made possible by Kent & Bev Hellman. This year’s pops concert will showcase musical favorites from movies and stage. Arrangements by John Williams and Leonard Bernstein will play like a greatest hits soundtrack. The orchestra will be joined by stage actress and vocalist Rachel Tyler and Matthew Tyler. SATURDAY, JULY 20 at 11:30AM, FREE The Story of Babar, the Little Elephant Families have the special opportunity to experience the thrill of an orchestra in person. By Francis Poulenc, this is the story of the young Babar and his adventures growing up in the jungle and exciting adventures in the big city.
