He plucked Zakk Wylde from Zyrus -- a small Jersey band -- and took him straight to the world's biggest stages. Besides his on-again/off-again relationship with Ozzy, Zakk formed the Pride and Glory trio in 1994, came close to becoming a member of Guns 'N' Roses and later released a solo album entitled 'Book of Shadows.' Wylde formed Black Label Society in 1998 as a vehicle for his own artistic vision: uncompromising, unfiltered, no bullshit rock’n’roll.
